01 / The Problem

Photography knowledge is scattered and gatekept

Finding great photo locations means scrolling through geo-tagged posts on Instagram, buying overpriced PDF guides, or hoping someone on Reddit shares their secrets.

And once you find a spot? Good luck figuring out exactly how the photographer achieved that look—the camera settings, the film simulation, the Lightroom preset, the time of day.

Location hunting is a scavenger hunt

Geo-tags are vague, guides are expensive, and the best spots stay hidden

"How did you edit this?" goes unanswered

Most photographers don't share their recipes—or they're buried in YouTube comments

No easy way to sell your work

Setting up a shop is complex; licensing is confusing; marketplaces take huge cuts

02 / Features

Everything in one place

Descubri combines location discovery, recipe sharing, and a creator marketplace in one app.

Map-Based Discovery

Explore photo spots on an interactive map. See what others have shot at each location. Filter by distance, style, or camera system.

Shot Recipes

Every post can include the full recipe: camera settings, Fuji film simulation, Lightroom preset, LUT, or film stock. Learn exactly how each shot was made.

Spot Protection

Creators control access. Show fuzzy locations publicly, reveal exact coordinates to purchasers or mutual followers. Protect your secret spots.

Sell Your Work

Offer full-resolution JPEGs, RAW files, or commercial licenses directly from your post. Stripe-powered payments with instant delivery.

Community First

Follow photographers you admire, bookmark favorite spots and recipes, like and comment on posts.

Mobile-Native

Built for iPhone and Android from day one. Capture a moment, add your recipe, pin the location, and share—all from the field.

03 / Process

How it works

Three steps from capture to community

1

Share your shot

Upload a photo, add a caption and tags. Our EXIF reader auto-fills camera settings when available.

2

Add the recipe & spot

Attach your film simulation, Lightroom preset, LUT, or film stock. Pin the location on the map—you control whether it's fuzzy or exact.

3

Connect & monetize

Others discover your work through the map and feed. Optionally sell full-res files, RAWs, or licenses with one-tap checkout.

04 / Who It's For

Built for photographers who share

For Fuji shooters, Lightroom editors, video colorists, and film photographers.

Fuji Shooters

Share and discover film simulation recipes—from Classic Chrome to Portra-inspired looks.

Lightroom Editors

Showcase your presets with the photos that made them. Let others see exactly what settings achieved your look.

Video Colorists

LUT creators using Lumix, Blackmagic, or any camera. Share your color grades alongside sample footage.

Film Photographers

Document the stock, development process, and scanning setup behind each shot so others can recreate the look.

Building the tool I wish existed

Software engineer and hobbyist photographer. I build products at startups, and Descubri is the tool I kept wishing existed.

About Descubri

Descubri (Spanish for "I discovered") started with a familiar frustration. As a photographer, I spent hours hunting for locations across scattered Instagram posts and Reddit threads. And when I found a great spot, I'd still wonder—what film simulation did they use? What Lightroom preset? What time of day?

I'm building Descubri to be the resource I wish existed: a map-based community where photographers share not just their photos, but how they were made—and can sell their work without the hassle of setting up a store.
