A map-based community for photographers to discover photo locations, share shot recipes—Fuji film sims, Lightroom presets, LUTs, film stocks—and sell originals, RAWs, and licenses.
Finding great photo locations means scrolling through geo-tagged posts on Instagram, buying overpriced PDF guides, or hoping someone on Reddit shares their secrets.
And once you find a spot? Good luck figuring out exactly how the photographer achieved that look—the camera settings, the film simulation, the Lightroom preset, the time of day.
Geo-tags are vague, guides are expensive, and the best spots stay hidden
Most photographers don't share their recipes—or they're buried in YouTube comments
Setting up a shop is complex; licensing is confusing; marketplaces take huge cuts
Descubri combines location discovery, recipe sharing, and a creator marketplace into one seamless experience.
Explore photo spots on an interactive map. See what others have shot at each location. Filter by distance, style, or camera system.
Every post can include the full recipe: camera settings, Fuji film simulation, Lightroom preset, LUT, or film stock. Learn exactly how each shot was made.
Creators control access. Show fuzzy locations publicly, reveal exact coordinates to purchasers or mutual followers. Protect your secret spots.
Offer full-resolution JPEGs, RAW files, or commercial licenses directly from your post. Stripe-powered payments with instant delivery.
Follow photographers you admire, bookmark favorite spots and recipes, like and comment. Built for genuine connection, not vanity metrics.
Built for iPhone and Android from day one. Capture a moment, add your recipe, pin the location, and share—all from the field.
Three steps from capture to community
Upload a photo, add a caption and tags. Our EXIF reader auto-fills camera settings when available.
Attach your film simulation, Lightroom preset, LUT, or film stock. Pin the location on the map—you control whether it's fuzzy or exact.
Others discover your work through the map and feed. Optionally sell full-res files, RAWs, or licenses with one-tap checkout.
Whether you shoot Fuji, Lumix, film, or Lightroom—there's a place for you here.
Share and discover film simulation recipes. Classic Chrome at golden hour? Portra 400 simulation? It's all here.
Showcase your presets with the photos that made them. Let others see exactly what settings achieved your look.
LUT creators using Lumix, Blackmagic, or any camera. Share your color grades alongside sample footage.
Document which stock, development process, and scanning setup you used. Help others recreate the analog magic.
Multiple revenue streams without relying on ads
10-15% platform fee on photo, RAW, and license sales. Creators keep the majority of their earnings.
One-time credit purchases for AI features: recipe matching, edit analysis, and smart tagging.
Earn referral commissions when users purchase gear, film, or software mentioned in recipes.
Building in public with clear milestones
Solo founder building the tool I wish existed
Software engineer and photographer hobbyist. I build products at startups. Passionate about making photography knowledge more accessible.
Descubri (Spanish for "I discovered") was born from frustration. As a photographer, I spent hours hunting for locations across scattered Instagram posts and Reddit threads. When I found a great spot, I'd wonder—what film simulation did they use? What Lightroom preset? What time of day?
I'm building Descubri to be the all-in-one resource I wish existed: a map-based community where photographers share not just their photos, but the full story of how they were made—and optionally monetize their work without the complexity of setting up a store.
We're launching soon. Get early access and help shape the product.
